Professional Fishing Guide
(1989 - Present) Rob spends an average of 250 days per year guiding anglers offshore and inshore for elusive gamefish with fly and light tackle. Rob was also nominated as one of the “Top 50 Fishing Captains” in the world.

Tournament Competitor
A top three finisher in over 150 offshore and inshore tournaments fished around the globe, Rob’s the first guide to win all four major fly tarpon tournaments. He’s also the youngest man (at age 17) to win the prestigious “Met Master Angler” award in the tournament’s 67-year history. Rob’s the all-time leading Tarpon tournament guide with 58 podium finishes over the last four decades.

The Seahunter  Television Show
Going into its tenth season, and averaging over 6 million viewers annually. The Seahunter series takes the viewer by the hand on the real life adventures of renowned Capt. Rob Fordyce and friends. Rob’s full-throttle attitude and passion for hunting the sea for challenging gamefish is clear in this series, and his versatility as an angler leaves no viewer unsatisfied with the experience. Rob is the founder, producer, and host of this leading saltwater show.

Veteran Supporter
Working closely with the national organization Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Rob spends a few weeks a year teaching Vets how to fly fish, surprises some with dream fishing trips. He’s become a national spokesperson for PHWFF, using the fundamentals of fly fishing to heal those vets who have been stung by the winds of war and are struggling with returning to civilian life.

Fly School
Rob and long time friend Capt. Paul Tejera have developed the leading traveling saltwater fly fishing school in the world. The curriculum is methodically chosen from two of the sports most accomplished tournament competing guides, with over 70 years of combined knowledge between the both of them. “We do not teach theories or give opinions. In this school, you’ll learn proven techniques that were formed through spending thousands of days on the water—chasing some of the most technical and challenging fish that swim anywhere in the world PERIOD!!” Learn a lifetime in just one day. Avid Hunter & Bowhunter
Hunting from the time he was a young boy, Rob is just as passionate about hunting as he is fishing. A past professional duck hunting guide for 10 years, Rob spends most of his time now Bowhunting for big game with clients and family about 50 days per year.
